The late Jim Klein (a lecturer in San Francisco State University ’s Economics Department and a former bond trader) wanted to find a simple strategy that didn’t require special data or analytics, and wouldn’t pile up trading fees.Klein and his co-authors—San Francisco State University colleagues Alan Jung and Todd Feldman—introduce three new market-timing strategies. They compare and contrast these and other well-known market-timing strategies against a benchmark strategy of simply holding the S&amp;P 500 .
