AB Major improvements have taken place in frontier markets over the past decade. In Looking Both Ways: A Quarter Century in Emerging and Frontier Markets, published in the Spring 2017 issue of The Journal of Investing, Larry Speidell quantifies some of these financial and nonfinancial advances. Declining poverty rates, lower child mortality, higher literacy, better corporate reporting standards, stronger banking frameworks, and more have all provided a stronger foundation for investment on the frontier.TOPICS: Emerging, frontier
